A little about me
I am an LMT who has been exploring the form and function of the human body since childhood. Through this exploration, I have spent over 20 years in the martial arts with a heavy emphasis on Taiji (Tai Chi). It was here that I first encountered an approach to physicality that emphasized gentleness, refinement of technique, and “listening” (in Taiji terminology, this is referred to as “ting jin” or “listening energy”) to one’s own body as the primary methods and ideals of practice. Over time, I found my way to bodywork, and eventually to the methods of the Barral Institute, where I quickly developed a deep passion for studying anatomy and for yet another expression of the beautiful art of listening.
Each session begins with a warm conversation and a gentle physical assessment, allowing me to truly understand what your body needs and how we can work together most effectively. As we move through the areas that feel most restricted or under strain, I listen carefully to your body’s subtle cues—following lines of tension, easing blockages, and helping your system find its natural balance and ease again.
Depending on our assessment, I may work on neural, vascular, visceral, and/or connective tissues (muscle, fascia, ligaments and tendons).
